Staffed water points serving everything from water to warm pancakes! Backup shuttle at designated points to assist should you not be able to run any further.

Each participant and companion will receive a unique Cape-inspired souvenir made locally as a keepsake to your adventure with us in Tulbagh.

FAQ
When clicking on the installment plan option, 30% of your total entry amount will be due immediately to secure your entry. The remainder of your outstanding amount will be debited over three installments.
Please make sure that your entry payments are up to date. You will have 7 days to make your payment after the due date. If you miss a payment you will forfeit your entry.
All payments must be completed at least 30 days before the event date.
Organising such an event has many challenges and can’t be left to the last minute. The refund policy schedule is based on certain suppliers that have been paid leading up to the preparation of the event.
Every aspect of the event is meticulously planned and synchronised with suppliers, partners, medical staff , entertainers, photographers, catering staff and assistants who need time to adapt to date not even taking in account the financial aspect, whereas most of these parties have been paid in advance to ensure their services. Without these key people and planning we cannot host a safe and enjoyable event.
- All substitutions made are charged at R250 per runner.
- Refunds up to 90 days prior to the event will be refunded at 75% of entry fee.
- Refunds up to 60 days prior to the event will be refunded at 50% of entry fee.
- No refunds 60 days or less before the event date.
- Entries are transferable until 14 days prior to the event. (If you do a substitution your substituted participant will receive the merchandise size that was selected on your original entry)
*Entries can’t be transferred to the following year.
*No Exceptions including medical conditions and infectious diseases.

No, there is no cut-off time. You are welcome to complete the route at your own pace. We prefer to focus more on appreciating the breathtaking scenery and crossing the finish line than racing the course.
The gravel road is only about 2.5 km long and is in good condition all year round. Small cards should be perfectly fine travelling this section, especially if they drive slowly.

Yes, companions are very welcome. We encourage all family members to participate as well! The event is not timed and there is no cut-off time which makes it the perfect opportunity to walk the breathtaking routes of the Tulbagh Valley! Please note there will be a sweeper to pick participants up if they do not feel like finishing the walk. Friends or family members can share a luxury tent or guest house with you. The fee for a non-runner/walker companion to join you depends on whether you will be staying in a guest house or a glamping tent. Only two persons are allowed accommodation unit.
Yes, but only 40 days before the event. Thereafter clothing orders are placed and no changes can be made.
Clothing sizes are selected during the online entry process before checking out and paying.
Please note that the new substituted participant will receive the clothing size of the initial outgoing participant unless this is changed 40 days before the event.

No, Buchu Glamping has quality white linen in a comfortable and luxurious tent with tasteful furniture and attention to detail.
It’s always a good idea to have your medical aid card with you. Although signal is not always available, it is wise to take your phone with you.
Even though this is a glamping village power is still restricted as the venue runs on solar power and backup generators.
There are USB charging facilities for cellphones in all tents however please bring your own chargers.
