WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR RUN
DAY 1
SHUTTLE PICK UP
If you have pre-booked the shuttle service online, a dedicated shuttle will transport participants from Cape Town Airport to De Stilte Farm. Pick up 11:00 AM.
REGISTRATION
Welcome to Run the Cape, grab a beer or something to drink, and check in to your luxury-tented accommodation at De Stilte. You will receive your Run The Cape Goodie bag filled with a few extra surprises and your tent number or guest house location during registration. You’re welcome to arrive on Friday between 13:00 and 15:00. Help yourself to the light lunch on offer.
RUN START
16:00 Today we will start with a 7km leg loosener with beautiful scenery ending with a sundowner on the hill.
DINNER AND ENTERTAINMENT
18:00 Time to indulge in a delicious paella dinner while we look at what’s in store for the rest of the weekend.
DAY 2
CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
06:00-07:00 Enjoy a continental breakfast before you set off on your run.
RUN START
07:30 Today we head towards Tulbagh for a 19km route presenting breathtaking views of the undulating surrounding Valley filled with wheat fields, mountains with fynbos and pine trees. Expect a refreshing off-the-beaten-path water points en route.
LUNCH
11:30-14:00 Enjoy a delicious celebratory lunch served back at camp after catching a piping hot shower once you finish the day 2 route.
TASTING EXPERIENCE
15:00–16:30 Come and enjoy a complimentary tasting hosted by Oakhurst Olives!
DINNER AND ENTERTAINMENT
18:30 Dinner will entail a unique Cape Cuisine-inspired experience. Live entertainment will conclude a great day in the Tulbagh Valley.
DAY 3
COFFEE TO START YOUR MORNING
06:00 Start your day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee and rusk.
COFFEE RUN
07:30 End the weekend on a high note with an enjoyable 5km coffee run!
CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST
08:00-09:30 Enjoy a well-deserved pastry party before heading home.
SHUTTLE TO AIRPORT
11:00 Shuttle to depart to the airport to arrive at 12:30.
