DAY 2

19KM | CLIMBING 680M

Chicken run of 9km.

Today we will be traversing the Witzenberg Mountain range. The run starts with a steep kicker out of the camp. Turn left towards the Witzenberg Game Park. Keep an eye out for Zebras, Springbuck and more as you head onto a downhill section, but don’t be fooled, it quickly transitions into a gradual climb towards waterpoint one at 5.7km. From here you’ll enter rolling pine forests that offer breathtaking views. Remember life’s a climb, but the view is always worth it! At the peak of the climb, you’ll find waterpoint 2 at 11km. From there you can enjoy mostly downhill segments as you pass through Noah Farm, taking in the stunning scenery. This will lead you to waterpoint 3 at 15km before concluding with a glorious finish as you complete your 19km run!
Chicken run of 9km
If the legs just aren’t firing up when reaching the first waterpoint, fuel up and take the detour which will skip waterpoint 2 but it will take you to join in at waterpoint 3. The chicken run is there if you really feel like you won’t make the 19km but we do encourage everyone to complete the full run as the views and welcoming locals at waterpoint 2 really ads a special reminiscence to your weekend.
